Gracie Webb - Holiday Memories (clip)

Interviewed by Zaina Alsous and Khristian Curry on April 2, 2012

Interviewer: Who does the cooking for Christmas and Thanksgiving?

Gracie Webb (GW): All of us do. All us carried a covered dish.

Interviewer: Oh.

GW: Then it’s – so it’s not hard on nobody. One would cook ham, one would cook the turkey. And then, cook pies, whatever they want to. Everybody had something to bring, you know. So it’s not hard on nobody. And they don’t have to stay up cooking.

Interviewer: What do you usually bring?

GW: I usually carry banana pudding, either potato salad and collards, or whatever they want me to bring.
